Leesa Dolynchuk

I’m Leesa and I’m a 30 yr old SAHM of 2 kids, ages 4 and 2. I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life and was always the “big girl” as far back as I can remember. I hit 200 lbs in grade 4 and yo-yo’d my way through life from there. Throughout my life I’ve been on more diets then you can imagine, some great, some not so great and exercise and I have never got along. Sports was never my thing, I hated running and could never keep up. I’ve had gym memberships which I’d use for a short time and then give up. I’ve never found any exercise program that could actually hold my attention. I’m the queen of excuses in all aspects of my health and have used every imaginable one to be as inactive as possible.

Just before my 30th birthday in September I finally decided enough is enough. It’s about time to take control of my health and my life. I started making healthier choices in my diet using ViSalus shakes and eating clean. I liked my results but knew that I needed to start getting the exercise under control as well.

I saw a deal for Chanceformations and thought it sounded interesting and loved that the class was early enough for me to go before my husband went to work. A friend of mine said she would join me for the classes so I thought, why not? Honestly, I figured this would be like all the other classes I joined. I would go a couple times, get bored, or lazy and just quit. Well, we went for our first class and haven’t turned back! We’ve been going for over 6 months now and it’s the best habit I’ve created!

Never in my life have I had a fitness class keep my wanting to come back week after week. Every month we do fitness assessments and I’m able to see how much my strength is increasing. I’ve reached fitness goals that I always thought were impossible and just recently ran my first 5k race.

I love that every class is different. The variation in routines keeps you from ever getting bored. I love the motivation I get by working out with friends. I love that Chance is committed to helping us reach our fitness goals. He’s always there to give you the extra push when you really need it and still manages to do it in a non drill sergeant type of way. And I really love that I’m done working out, home, and able to have my morning coffee before my kids get up!

My goal for this year is to continue with Fitcamp twice a week and running 3 times a week. I want to increase my strength and endurance and run a 10k race. Mainly I just want to continue living a healthy lifestyle and to encourage others to do the same. Remember: If you want your life to change, your choices must change and today is the best day of your life to begin!
